Below is NewEnglandGrown’s directory of Christmas tree farms. This list is by no means comprehensive – there are many farms in New England offering Christmas trees - but highlights some farms that specialize in Christmas tress. We have made our best efforts to provide accurate information, but please check the website and/or call before you go; things change quickly in the agricultural world.
Almost all Christmas tree farms offer at least some pre-cut trees. Some also offer cut-your-own, or “choose-n-cut.” The exact meaning of choose-n-cut varies from farm to farm. Some will simply cut the tree for you when you come to pick it up; others allow you to tag a particular tree early in the season for cutting close to Christmas. Again, we recommend you call ahead.
Many farms offer other enticements for a Christmas visit, beyond the sight and smell of freshly cut pine. Hot cider or cocoa, wreaths and pine swags, hayrides, light displays, photo spots with cartoon cutouts or Santa’s sleigh, even Christmas stores offering ornaments and crafts can all be found at farms, making the trip to get a tree an adventure. And of course you will get the freshest tree around, while supporting your local farmer. Enjoy your outing and your tree!
